How to Buy

If you already know what you want to buy, the easiest way to find it is to type its name in the search box on the website. Alternatively, type a general name (for example, "strategy") in the search box. To get more information about a product, click its name to see the product information page. There you'll find:

• Background information
• Contents Information
• The buttons you need to add the item to your Shopping Cart
• Information on similar products

Add items to your Shopping Cart

The Shopping Cart is where you store items you intend to buy. You can always delete items from the Shopping Cart or save them for later if you change your mind. When you find what you want (or what you might want) click the "Add to Shopping Cart" button on the item's product information page.

When you've added everything you want to the Shopping Cart, click "View Cart Contents" in the top right-hand corner of the page. To start filling in the order form, click the "Checkout" button.

Completing the order

If you are a returning customer please enter your e-mail address and password and click the "Sign in" button and proceed to the Checkout.  If you have forgotten your password click the “forgotten password” link and complete the information. Emerald Shop will then e-mail you a new password.

New customers please click the “continue” button and input your account details.  Please note the e-mail address you provide here will be the only e-mail address we can use to communicate with you about your order, so please double-check it. You must use your own e-mail address, even if you're buying something for someone else.

Provide a password

Choose a password for your account. Emerald Shop will not provide the password for you.  You'll be able to use your e-mail address and password to make changes to your account information, so make sure you remember which e-mail address and password you used.

Review and submit your order

Check the information you've provided and make adjustments by clicking the "edit" button next to the relevant information.  When you're ready, click the "Confirm Order" button to submit your order. We'll then send you a confirmation e-mail message.

If your order is for an electronic file we will include a link to enable you to download the file immediately.

Downloading Electronic Content

Emerald Shop will provide a hyperlink to your content. s. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, we advise you to right-click the link and "save target as" to save a copy of the PDF document to your hard disk.

If you are using a different web browser, you can simply click the link and the browser will open Acrobat Reader and display the document. If you do not have Acrobat Reader, you can download it from the Adobe website. Once the document has opened, please remember to save a copy to your hard disk via the Acrobat menu. If you forget to do this you can log back into your account, view your order history and download the document again. Please note that you must download your content within 30 days from the "My Account" area.

Logging Out from Emerald Shop

If you use a shared or public computer to shop at Emerald Shop, you should log out when you've finished to prevent other users from accessing personal information.

To log out, click the “log off” button at the top of the page.  Your personal information is removed from the computer.  If you click the “My Account” button again, you'll see you are now required to “sign in”.
