Zahirul Hoque is Professor and Chair in Accounting at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia.
He was previously Head of School and Professor of Business at Charles Darwin University, Northern Territory, and has held visiting professorships at the American International University, Bangladesh and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia.
Professor Hoque has written widely on international accounting, strategic management and organizational issues, and public sector reform; his current research interests include accounting, performance measures, organizational change and socio-political aspects in less developed countries. Zahirul Hoque is the founding editor of Journal of Accounting & Organizational Change which focuses on exploring how organizations change and how the change process affects internal organizational processes.
