Interview by: Debbie Read

Darrell Kofkin has dedicated his career to the marketing profession with a track record in marketing and professional development spanning over 17 years.

He graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with BA (Hons) in Business in 1990, and was one of only two graduates (out of 300 applicants) to be selected to join the marketing graduate training scheme at London Underground.

At the age of 26 he became the youngest ever marketing manager for the organization before going on to join InterCity, working with the senior management team to develop a new marketing strategy for the privatised railway.

In 1997 Darrell entered the field of lecturing and soon became known for his ability to link the theoretical aspects of marketing in a practical and innovative style. He began working with undergraduate and postgraduate students on Degree level and professional qualifications (e.g. Chartered Institute of Marketing, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Association of Certified Chartered Accounts) across marketing and management disciplines.
