Michael Roberto is a Visiting Associate Professor of Management at New York University’s Stern School of Business.
From 2000 to 2005 he was a faculty member in the General Management unit at the Harvard Business School. He has taught in leadership development programmes at a number of organizations including Morgan Stanley, The Home Depot, Mars, Novartis, The World Bank, Thales, and Nomura Research Institute.
Professor Roberto has consulted with organizations including Johnson Johnson, Lockheed Martin, Corporate Executive Board, and The Advisory Board. His recent research has focused on strategic decision-making processes and senior management teams, and catastrophic group and organizational failures such as the Columbia Space Shuttle accident and the 1996 Mount Everest tragedy. His book Why Great Leaders Don‘t Take Yes for an Answer: Managing for Conflict and Consensus was published in June 2005.
